Naidex Wishes You a Happy New Year! - Masis

After an outstanding 2017 that saw Naidex grab the spotlight and reaffirm itself as Europe’s leading event for disability, rehabilitation and independent living, the Naidex Team is more motivated than ever to deliver a world-class event, as the 44th edition of the show draws ever closer.

With only 4 months left until the show, the line-up of exhibitors looks incredible! Naidex will showcase products and services from global organisations that are set to dominate this ever-evolving sector. You’ll be able to find the latest innovations in assistive technologies such as ReWalk’s exoskeleton and communication aids such as the Smartbox Grid Pad, whilst TGA Mobility will provide contemporary powerchairs and scooters, sharing the floor with other powerhouse brands such as Geberit, Coloplast, Lewis Reed Group and many more! There are also plenty of new faces on the scene such as Relync, who will be launching the world’s first three wheeled folding e-scooter!

With the seminar agenda almost complete, it’s not just the exhibitors that are attracting international attention. Naidex presents the opportunity for professionals, members of the public and businesses to further their skill set and understanding of present topics that are currently shaping the disability, rehabilitation and independent living sectors, all whilst gaining CPD accreditation. Among these we have the likes of the Global Lead for Life Sciences and Healthcare at IBM, the Accessibility Lead at the BBC, the Chair of the National Autistic Society, the Executive Director of the National Care Forum, the National Clinical Director for Older People and Person Centred Integrated Care at NHS England, and a plethora of other high-profile speakers. With focussed content, Naidex ensures visitors and exhibitors alike are able to garner the maximum return on their time at the show.

This year also sees the introduction of panel sessions, covering a variety of matters impacting people with disabilities. One of which is the Employability Panel Session, hosted by Disability Horizon’s CEO Martyn Sibley, including world class panelists such as the CEO of Disability Rights UK, the CEO of the Business Disability Forum, the CEO of Change and the CEO of Microlink PC. These esteemed specialists will be discussing the complications, best practice and opportunities associated with employing people with disabilities.

What’s more, we also have the honour of hosting BBC Ouch’s acclaimed podcast, which will be airing LIVE at Naidex! With involvement from our very own Naidex visitors, the podcast will include engaging interviews and captivating discussions.

The 44th edition of Naidex is set to generate even more excitement as we’ll be introducing new interactive features, among them the Home, Design & Build Summit, which will explore accessibility in the built environment. From architecture and furnishing for the care sector, to home automation technology, this dynamic and lively area will be awash with a cross section of buyers, suppliers and decision makers from the disability, housing and health tech sectors.

Notably, the Moving & Handling Lab is also new to the line-up, designed to inspire professionals and trade in the patient handling and healthcare sector. The Lab will provide 2 full days of CPD accredited interactive training around the progressive techniques and expertise needed to effectively and safely support and transport individuals with disabilities or special needs. The Lab will also showcase the most progressive patient handling equipment and technology available in the world.

And it doesn’t stop there! With 4 months to go, the Naidex team will be working diligently to prepare the best Naidex in its 44 year history, and, of course, they still have a few tricks up their sleeves! Packed with Masterclasses, 1-2-1 advice, hundreds of live demos and unparalleled networking opportunities, Naidex will assuredly be placed at the centre of the disability, rehabilitation and independent living sectors.
