Although it is important that we continue to acknowledge the efforts
and support 'front-line' staff working within the NHS who are treating
the many thousands of the UK's population affected by Covid-19, it is
ESSENTIAL THAT WE ALSO REMEMBER and show our appreciation to ALL KEY
WORKERS who continue to keep the nation functioning during what the
Prime Minister described (within his speech at 09.00 a.m. on 27th
April) AS THE WORST EXPERIENCES THE UNITED KINGDOM HAS ENCOUNTERED
SINCE WORLD WAR 2.

KEY WORKERS who continue to undertake vital work include military
personnel supporting the NHS, Social and Care Workers who address the
daily needs of disabled and vulnerable people living within the
community and ALL members of staff from the emergency services.
Our daily living requirements are met by food shop and supermarket
staff, workers employed within essential manufacturing and food
processing companies as well as council staff, (including utilities
service engineers and waste bin collection crews)  banking personnel
and warehouse delivery and distribution staff (including postal
workers).

WE ARE KEPT INFORMED ABOUT IMPORTANT PANDEMIC RELATED ISSUES ON A
DAILY BASIS by members of staff from within the TV media and newspaper
publishing. Such people indirectly help us reduce the risk of being
infected by the Coronavirus. ALL POLITICIANS and COUNCILLORS (from
every political party) also help to ensure the health and safety of
every member of the UK's population.

The MASIS 'team' designed the KEY WORKER badge and within 2 days
received replies from 6 companies willing to arrange the manufacturing
of the badge and all of whom agreed with the importance of
acknowledging and appreciating the efforts being made by KEY WORKERS
for the benefit of the nation. QUANTITIES OF THE BADGES WHICH WILL BE
MADE ONCE ORDERS ARE RECEIVED ARE LIMITLESS.

An illustration of the badge is displayed above and PROCEEDS RAISED
FROM THE DONATIONS RECEIVED (which will vary on size of orders, as it
is MASIS'S intention to initially focus on large volume orders before
smaller quantities are considered) WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT THE MANY
AND VARIED SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE NHS and SOCIAL CARE SERVICES
REQUIRED BY DISABLED AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE AND CARERS (examples of
which were shown in the BBC's 'Big Night In') which will still be
needed well after 'lockdown' is gradually uplifted and life within the
UK and the many other regions of the world affected by the Coronavirus
